Put the lights back on in LipljanDecani Monastery Relief Fund: Put the lights back on in Lipljan please. Why no lights or no electricity in Lipljan? What is the delay? Second appeal: tear down the barbed wire in Lipljan that has been in place for the last six years. Let us open the door to peace and good will among all men! Dear Friends In Christ Our Lord, May the great love and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all! The Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo and Metohija which includes the district of Lipljan are preparing to celebrate the Great Feast of our Lord's Holy Nativity on January 7th, 2005. The Serbian Orthodox faithful follow the old calendar, and always celebrate this feast thirteen days after December 25th. This feast is one of the most loved by all Orthodox Christians it is the day of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to earth, and an offering of salvation, as well an a humble opening of peace, and good will among all men. My peace I give to you Our Lord Jesus Christ offered these words during his great ministry. One is deeply saddened that still many Serbian Orthodox Christians and other citizens are without light or electricity in Lipljan! This is an appeal to put back on the lights and that electricity would be available in time for the celebration of our Lord's Holy Nativity on January 7th. And that these lights remain on for all times. When one has not electricity one is in total darkness, and when the evening hours arrive one must truly live in fear. Then again if one does not have any candles it becomes a terrifying matter for even the elderly and the children. This is a humble appeal and a human right appeal for the safety of all citizens in Libljan, put the lights back on and we ask that this matter not be delayed another night, as these citizens remain in darkness! For the sake of the children put the lights back on please! For the sake of the elderly please put the lights back on! We ask the Power Company in Lipljan please help put the lights back on, and we offer our humble thanks to you! When will the hour begin that all citizens and all people have the right to live as free people, and that all individuals should be respected as human beings, and that the matter should be to rush upon the hour to help those in desperation and in needs: light, food, fire wood, fuel, and the repair of housing, as well as the return of all Serbian citizens back to their home. Leave the lights on and bring equal opportunity to all, and not just the selected few. |
